The health unit operates countrywide mainly through partners situated in specific sites in areas of operation. Examples of partners are ISP-Uganda, ISP-Africa, Sense International, Specific World Vision programme areas like Nakasongola and Rakai, PECYU – Parents Empowering Children and Youth Uganda, individuals who wish to support persons with disabilities.

 

It also provides physiotherapy services through its home based care programme. This is done to the elderly and those patients who can be able to be brought or taken to hospitals as often as they should be.

  • Persons with disabilities, their families and local communities empowered through provision of assistive devices and enabled to participate in the rehabilitation and fulfillment of disabled person’s rights.

  • Knowledge, attitude and practices towards usage of assistive devices for children/persons with disabilities including policy makers and service providers, improved.

  • Increased implementation and enforcement of government policy provisions and legislation regarding usage of assistive devices for the independence of children/persons with disabilities in the society. 

  • Partnership and networking with other organizations/health units strengthened to improve service provision through shared learning.

  • Increased capacity of Physi-tech to fulfill its mission and realize the vision

  • Home based care and community outreach clinics.

  • Setting up physiotherapy units and providing its equipment.
